29:11-12 It is the longest verse I've memorized
lately and each time I read it or say it, God
reveals something new to me about who He truly
is, it really brings me comfort.
How you got into radio: All my life I've
been told I have a voice for radio. The voice you
hear now is the same voice I had at 2 yrs. old
(yes I got some strange looks). I had a desire to
do something with sports, so I always thought it
would be fun to be a sports commentator. I
attended Ashland University for radio/television
broadcasting, but I never had the opportunity to
finish. Two years ago I was really feeling led to
go back to work to help Tim (my husband) out. I
had had several companies offering me employment,
but was always unable to find baby sitters for
the time. I kept praying about it and one Sunday
had asked my Sunday school class to be in prayer
with me. It just so happened that Matt Hahn (the
GM at that time for WVMC) was in my class
visiting because they were doing a promo in
between services. Well when I left class he and
Todd Stach, another employee, said they heard me
ask for prayer and wondered if I would be
interested in working for the station (I thought
they needed office help!) They told me they had
felt led for some time to be on the look out for
a woman's voice and when I spoke in class
they looked at each other and knew I was the one
to ask. Absolutely incredible how it all worked
out, with sitters and everything! So here I am
and loving every minute of it. Radio is the most
natural thing in the world to me, and was the
first time I ever went on the air (because all I
have to do is talk, talk, talk). Praise and glory
to my God!
