Ashland Salvation Army Kroc Center Kroc-tober Fest and Pumpkin Parade

The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center is merging two of its most popular fall
family events into one day of fun. The annual Pumpkin Parade and Kroc-tober Fest will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2011 from 11:00 am-1:00 pm.

The FREE event begins at 11:00 am where kids can participate in fun activities such as games, paint pumpkins, face painting, Bounce Houses, and more. The Ashland Fire Department will award three places for the best painted pumpkin. Adults can walk around and visit community
booths with items for sale or purchase some delicious German style food. The event will conclude with The Dixieland Band and The Ashland Fire Department leading the Pumpkin Parade.

Extra details:
Photo opportunities will be available at the Harvest Display courtesy of Honey Haven Farm in
Ashland, Ohio. Pictures will be printed for free and available to take home. Food will be for sale
including Kroc-tober Fests finest: root beer, bratwurst, sauerkraut, chocolate covered cream
puffs, homemade cookies from the Girl Scouts, homemade caramel apples from The Kroc Center
LINCS Program and much more. The fire department will bring their fire trucks for the kids.
