The Ashland County Cancer Association’s eighth annual “Taste of Ashland” is from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 15th at Mozelle Hall (Celebrations by Sallie) at the Ashland County Fairgrounds. The event will feature over ten local restaurants and kitchens with samples of their food, a silent auction, shopping booths and activities, education, and entertainment.
Restaurants and kitchens included are Buffalo Wild Wings, Celebrations by Sallie, Jakes, Fergy’s on Main, Dor-Lo Pizza, KD Pizza, BestaFasta Pizza, Pumphouse Grille, Ashland University Accent Room, Desserts by Kingston of Ashland. More establishments are still signing-up. The ACCA is always looking for additional participation.
Tickets can be purchased starting Nov. 1 at the Ashland County Cancer Association office located at 380 E. 4th St., Ashland, Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are also available at Jim’s Flowers and Gifts and can also be purchased at the door.
A wide array of jewelry, foodie supplies, crafts, handmade items, and more will be offered. Vendors such as The Flour Barrel and Nankin Heights Soap will be in attendance. The event is seeking more vendors and they can RSVP until Nov. 7 for space.
An annual silent auction can be browsed and items bid on from 5 until 7 p.m., when the highest bid wins and can be paid for until 7:30 p.m. Items include a handmade quilt, quilted wall hanging, Vera Bradley items, jewelry, gift baskets, food items and much more.
A one-of-a-kind pink glass guitar, signed by Cleveland TV personality Monica Robins, will be featured at the auction. Proceeds from the pink guitar will benefit SA2 Collaborative, a local breast health initiative founded by ACCA, Samaritan Regional Health System, and the Ashland Christian Health Center. They are currently raising funds to continue to assist in offering free mammograms to women in the area.
Entertainment will be provided later in the evening at 6:30 to 7 p.m. by the Ashland Regional Ballet.
All ticket and event activity proceeds go to the ACCA to help local Ashland County patients. Ashland County Cancer Association is a local non-profit that assists anyone in need in Ashland County diagnosed with cancer. The ACCA provides medical, prescription, and transportation cost support, nutritional supplements, and education to local cancer patients.
