Pulitzer Prize winner Paul Harding will visit Cedarville University on Oct. 4. His 7 p.m. reading in the Dixon Ministry Center Recital Hall is free and open to the public. Harding will present a master class for students in the afternoon. Kevin Heath, chair of the English, literature and modern languages department, said, “It's a chance for our students to work face-to-face in a classroom setting with a nationally prominent writer." Cedarville has also invited students from other area universities to participate in the workshop. Harding’s novel “Tinkers” won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction in 2010. His second novel, “Enon,” will be published in 2013. Harding has also received a Guggenheim Fellowship and the PEN American Robert Bingham Fellowship for Writers. He has taught at the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, Harvard University and Grinnell College. For more information call 937-766-8800.
